Levying of a tax on overnight stays in accommodation establishments (overnight stay tax statutes) in the state capital of Potsdam from 1 October 2014 and extension from 1 April 2024.

The legal basis for this tax levy was clarified within the City Council of the State Capital of Potsdam and forwarded to us for our approval. For this reason, we are required to collect and pay this tax.

We would like to inform you that from 01 April 2024, the city of Potsdam will charge an overnight tax of 5% on the overnight price for all overnight stays.

The extension of the tax to business overnight stays may result in a subsequent calculation of the overnight tax on site.
