Running and cycling route: Sanssouci Park – Templiner Ufer

Start your tour heading north, passing the Olympic Training Centre. After crossing Zeppelinstraße, the forest road will take you directly to the Kaiserbahnhof railway station. Follow the road Am Neuen Palais into the palace park and turn right just before the palace onto the main avenue towards Sanssouci Palace. When you reach the Great Fountain, keep to the right and follow the path over the bridge towards the park exit.

Before the green fence on the right, take the Ökonomieweg until you reach a fork to the left towards Charlottenhof Palace. Follow the path behind the palace, keep to the right and you will reach the park exit. Then follow Kastanienallee via Zeppelinstraße to the shore of Lake Templin. There, the R1 cycle and hiking trail takes you towards Geltow, past the Olympic training centre and the music pavilion, directly to the Kongresshotel Potsdam.

The route through Sanssouci Park and along the banks of Lake Templin consists partly of asphalt, gravel and light sand paths.

Cycling is only permitted on the main paths in Sanssouci Park.

This route takes you past numerous palaces. Enjoy the sight of the New Palace, Sanssouci Palace, the New Chambers, the Picture Gallery and Charlottenhof Palace. You will also pass the Marly Garden, the Chinese Tea House, the Dairy and the Roman Baths.

Heading north past the Olympic training centre
Cross Zeppelinstraße and Forststraße and follow the signs to Kaiserbahnhof
Along the street Am Neuen Palais into the palace park
Turn right directly in front of the castle and follow the main avenue
At the large fountain, turn right towards the exit
Turn right onto Ökonomieweg before the green fence
Follow the Ökonomieweg until you reach the junction for Charlottenhof Palace
Behind the castle, turn right towards the park exit
Along Kastanienallee, via Zeppelinstraße to Lake Templin
Follow the R1 cycle and hiking trail towards Geltow until you reach the congress hotel
